Quotes
During my recent trip to Germany, I heard many memorable things. Here are just two that stuck out to me. Enjoy!
"We need to make more progress in practicing grace." ~ George Verwer
(I think the key here is 'practicing' grace... we all talk a lot about the need for grace, how to practice grace, that we *should* show more grace, and of course our long list of those who require extra grace... but are we actually *practicing* grace?)
"Folks... you're going to have to do some work. You may have to read." ~ Ian Orton
(When talking about leadership development... a reminder that leaders are not developed by osmosis... it takes work, even for those who seem to be 'born leaders'... Everyone who wants to lead effectively from their station of life must put some work in to it. This means learning... learning... and more learning! Reading books, talking to people, putting yourself into situations where you can learn new leadership skills and practice the ones you've already acquired.)
