Finally! Diaper Free!

... well... almost....

Claire has undeniably announced that she is no longer going to wear diapers.

WOO HOO!!!

Some kind of switch has apparently been flipped in her brain and diapers are no longer her thing. She wants to wear 'only underwear' from now on. There has been no formal potty training, no accidents, no special potty chair. She is simply finished with her diaper years and is now on to the exciting world of 'undies'.

Praise the Lord.

Actually, I shouldn't be surprised because Clark was much the same way. Kevin took him on a road trip last summer and... voila! He was done with diapers.

Claire is not quite ready for sleeping without a diaper yet, so naptimes and bedtimes are a little difficult trying to get her to understand that she must wear a diaper even though she doesn't want to. However, maybe by sheer will she will get through the night dry soon as well. Clark is just about there.

So gone are the diaper days... what will I spend all that diaper money on?

Oh... and just in case you all are wondering... do I still need diaper wipes? Yes, absolutely. Pre-schoolers need extra care for overnight diapers, as well as usual trips to the potty. Toilet paper doesn't quite do the job yet. Thanks for all the positive responses on that request!

Here's to Claire! Way to go little... er, excuse me... Big Girl!

Yay for big girl Claire! :) Don't worry, that extra diaper money won't be around for long. It quickly gets sucked into other budgets, like lunch money, school supplies, soccer gear, trophies for soccer, gifts for soccer coaches, etc., etc. . . .
